The Association of Performing Arts Professionals, the largest national service and advocacy organization for the performing arts with more than 1,700 members worldwide and producer of APAP|NYC, the leading annual gathering for the performing arts industry, currently seeks a candidate for the position of Membership and Marketing Seasonal Associate.

Position is expected to run from September 1, 2018 through January 25, 2019.

The Membership and Marketing Seasonal Associate is responsible for providing a range of administrative support to both the marketing and communications and membership teams. The seasonal associate plays a key role in providing outstanding customer service for the membership team by responding to front-line inquiries about APAP’s membership and the annual APAP|NYC conference via email, phone, mail, online etc. The Associate will support the marketing and communications team with a variety of activities associated with the APAP|NYC conference. The Associate supports both departments with customer service, data entry, copy editing, materials production, processing payments, generating and distribution of invoices/receipts, and fulfilling other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and a collaborative team player with the ability to work across multiple departments in a faced paced setting.

Linda Roth Associates, Inc. (LRA) is a public relations and promotions firm specializing in the hospitality industry. LRA is seeking part-time interns for the 2018 fall semester. Interns will assist publicists day-to-day and at off-site events as needed, working with hospitality clients and major city-wide events, helping to implement creative promotions. We are a small, all hands on deck team and are always looking for great candidates to grow with us. We offer a relaxed, comfortable work environment where questions are encouraged and our interns are a valuable part of the team.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

--A love of travel, food, and drink
--Organized, self-starter, takes initiative, is resourceful, and likes a challenge
--Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
--Research skills and creative thinking
--Experience in handling routine office tasks
--Someone who wants to learn a lot and have fun!

Responsibilities include:

--Relationship building and networking with colleagues, clients, and the media
--Working as part of an account team to craft and implement public relations plans
--Building targeted media and community lists
--Researching and writing press releases
--Tracking traditional (broadcast, print, radio, digital) and new media for pitching ideas
--Preparing and updating press kits including bios, fact sheets, menus, recipes, press clips and photos
