Household & Commercial Products Association - Communications Content Specialist
The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) is seeking a strong writer who can work collaboratively with departments across HCPA to develop compelling content that will be used for communications, event marketing, media relations and social media.
--This junior to mid-level position will coordinate with technical experts to develop content about the activities of the association, and share it with the membership and media, as well as developing executive presentations, speeches and remarks.
--Working with the Meetings team, the position will develop key messages for marketing HCPA events, and manage the production cycle for creating, editing and publishing email marketing campaigns.
--The position will also manage the distribution of content across association channels, including updating the website, publishing on social media, and interacting with trade media.
Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate exceptional writing, proofreading and copyediting skills. At least two years of previous association or PR agency experience, and a bachelor’s degree in communications, writing, marketing, English or related field is required. Expertise with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is required and familiarity with Canva and Hootsuite, or similar, is preferred. This position reports to the Vice President of Communications & Marketing and is based in downtown Washington, D.C.
