Patient Access Network Foundation - Communications Intern - Summer 2018

The Patient Access Network Foundation is seeking a motivated summer graduate intern in the communications department. The graduate intern will support the communications team across various projects with a focus on writing and editing. Tasks may include the development of newsletter and blog content, social media posts, fact sheets and more. We will train the right candidate for basic website maintenance and other communications platforms.

The expected commitment is 25 to 30 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and lasting through August or September. This is a paid position. The ideal candidate will be:

• A strong writer and editor; health writing experience preferred
• Organized, efficient and able to meet deadlines
• Able to work independently and also as a team
• Willing to learn new skills

We are a small organization (< 30 people), so the selected candidate will get to know all the employees, learn about the healthcare space and get plenty of hands-on experience.

The PAN Foundation is a nonprofit organization that helps patients with the out-of-pocket costs for their chronic, rare and life-threatening diseases. At PAN, you will work with a friendly, diverse team that is passionate about helping patients get and stay on their medical treatment. We appreciate candidates who share these concerns.

Our website: panfoundation.org

Location: 805 15th Street NW, Suite 500, Washington DC 20005 (McPherson Square metro)

If you are interested in applying for this position, please send your resume, two writing samples and your LinkedIn profile (if available) to Maggie Naples at mnaples@panfoundation.org. Thank you!
